Oil or Gouache Commissions

About The Commission Process

What is a commission?

A commission is a custom artwork created to bring your vision to life. I require that the painting be done in my style.

How Does It work?

If you're new to the commission process, don't worry I'll walk you through the process step by step and make it fun!

We will work one-on-one discussing all of the exciting details like color palette, motifs, inspirations to how you'd like to display your finished piece of art.

About the Process

Commissioning a custom oil painting is a unique and personal way to own a piece of art that is tailored to your specific preferences and
vision.

Step 1: The commission process begins with a consultation, where we discuss your ideas, preferences, and any specific requirements you may have.

This initial conversation allows me to understand your vision and ensure that
I can bring it to life.

Step 2: Once I have an understanding of your desired artwork, I will provide you with a detailed quote that includes the cost, timeline, and any additional information relevant to your commission.

Step 3: Upon your approval of the quote, we will require a deposit
to secure your commission slot. This deposit serves as a commitment from both parties and allows us to allocate the necessary time and resources to create your piece.

Please note I cannot start on a commission until a deposit is made and your timeline will start upon receipt of the deposit.

How much does shipping cost?

Shipping is calculated based on your location and the items in your order.

We try to calculate accurate shipping through our website, but large paintings will need a special quote. The quote will need approval before shipping.

Artist Statement

Stephanie Patton Jones is a contemporary artist known for emotionally resonant oil paintings that bridge fine art, interior atmosphere, and personal storytelling.

Her work spans landscapes, figurative studies, florals, and contemporary still life, all connected by a consistent emotional lens rooted in memory and lived experience.

Influenced by life across changing homes and seasons, Stephanie paints with an awareness of how spaces shape identity and how objects quietly document our lives. Her work is less interested in decoration than emotional permanence, creating paintings that continue unfolding within a collector’s home over time.
