Meet Stephanie
My Story
I've really always been an artist (as any creative will say), but it was always my 5-9 after my 9-5. I studied oil painting from a young age but never really put my work out in the world. I was a corporate girly after all - office in the city, business casual and a career ladder to climb, the whole thing.
And honestly? I really loved it. I also just really love painting.
Enter the big C (IYKYK). Stage left. 2020.
I got married and had a baby and suddenly life looked completely different overnight. Painting quietly fell to the side for the first time in my life while motherhood and corporate life consumed basically every ounce of my energy.
Then, just to keep things exciting my husband deployed the week after my daughter turned three.
I desperately needed an outlet while solo parenting, so I picked my brushes back up again.
After not having painted in what felt like an eternity it was like putting on your favorite old sweater. The paintings just started pouring out of me, and somewhere in the middle of the chaos I realized: this wasn't something I could keep treating like a side hobby.
Enter the sabbatical, stage right. 2024.
For the past two years I've been pursuing art full-time while soaking up my daughter's wildly fleeting childhood and renovating our very questionable 1970's lake house somewhere in between.
These days, I've been exploring still life's and my love of history through them. The things that we collect, the personal pieces that hold story, nostalgia and a sense of place. I've allowed myself to have a child like play and these have truly been some of my favorite pieces to date.
Artist Statement
Stephanie Patton Jones is a contemporary artist known for emotionally resonant oil paintings that bridge fine art, interior atmosphere, and personal storytelling.
Her work spans landscapes, figurative studies, florals, and contemporary still life, all connected by a consistent emotional lens rooted in memory and lived experience.
Influenced by life across changing homes and seasons, Stephanie paints with an awareness of how spaces shape identity and how objects quietly document our lives. Her work is less interested in decoration than emotional permanence, creating paintings that continue unfolding within a collector’s home over time.
